Roaming Oy’s Solar Panel Shop has been dealing with solar panels since 1994. We have a very strong and extensive experience in solar power plants, which we have supplied for example to VTT and several educational institutions and power plants in Finland. Stormossen is a regional waste management Company, owned by six municipalities in Ostrobothnia, with a total of approx. 107,000 inhabitants. Stormossen recycle 99 % of municipal waste through the waste reception stations, of which five stations offer self-service during weekdays and Saturdays. Most of the waste received is utilised as materials, energy, or nutrients for soil improvement. Stormossen is a regional waste management Company, owned by six municipalities in Ostrobothnia, with a total of approx. 107,000 inhabitants. Vaasan Vesi was established in 1915 and we still proudly provide our customers with water supply services, of which the most important is to purify and deliver a high-quality drinking water, as well as manage and treat wastewater. We also build and maintain the water pipe and sewer networks and provide customers with planning consultation and expert advice. In the Vaasa region there is significant cooperation across municipalities when it comes to water supply and wastewater treatment. All in all, we serve over 70 000 inhabitants. Vaasan Vesi supplies parts of Korsholm with clean water, and receives sewage from parts of both Korsholm and Malax. The sewage sludge is turned into biogas at Stormossen waste treatment plant in Korsholm and it will be upgraded to run 12 of the city busses by the end of 2016.

Deep Groundwater from Kurikka: Vasa has for long relied on surface water from Kyrönjoki River. In 2012 we started searching for groundwater sources in a nearby municipality and came across deep groundwater in an ancient riverbed. By 2025 we plan to bring this water to Vasa and save in both purifying costs and energy.
Westenergy owns and operates a modern Waste-to-Energy plant that gives new purpose to unrecyclable material. We utilize it to produce about 40 % of the district heat needed in the Vaasa region and electricity for 7 000 households in cooperation with the local energy company Vaasan Sähkö Oy. Furthermore, up to 80 % of our bottom slag is suitable material for concrete products and infrastructure constructions. We are part of the circular economy of the day and want to do everything we can for a clean and sustainable world.

JA provides programs supporting entrepreneurship and consumer education for 7-25-year-olds through schools, universities, and other educational institutions. The programs are carried out as a part of the schools’ own curricula.

Stormossen is a regional waste management Company, owned by six municipalities in Ostrobothnia, with a total of approx. 107,000 inhabitants. Stormossen recycle 99 % of municipal waste through the waste reception stations, of which five stations offer self-service during weekdays and Saturdays. Most of the waste received is utilised as materials, energy, or nutrients for soil improvement. Stormossen’s biogas plant produces biogas for use in the Vaasa city buses and other vehicles as well as electricity and heat. The biogas plant also produces a high quality humus material out of the biobegradable fraction, i.e. food waste. Stormossen combines a cost-effective waste management system with a high level of service, while remaining compatible with sustainable development.
Kvarken Ports was founded at the beginning of 2015 combining the ports of Umeå and Vaasa as a single joint venture. The aim of this co-operation is to develop the ports’ market position in the Baltic Sea trade. Kvarken Ports is also aiming to attract attention as a high-quality and environmentally friendly port pair. Kvarken Ports is a limited liability company jointly owned by Umeå Kummunföretag in Sweden and the city of Vaasa in Finland. To meet future demands for transport, Umeå and Vaasa are jointly building a completely new port and transport concept. Vaasan Vesi was established in 1915 and we still proudly provide our customers with water supply services, of which the most important is to purify and deliver a high-quality drinking water, as well as manage and treat wastewater. We also build and maintain the water pipe and sewer networks and provide customers with planning consultation and expert advice. In the Vaasa region there is significant cooperation across municipalities when it comes to water supply and wastewater treatment. All in all, we serve over 70 000 inhabitants. Vaasan Vesi supplies parts of Korsholm with clean water, and receives sewage from parts of both Korsholm and Malax. The sewage sludge is turned into biogas at Stormossen waste treatment plant in Korsholm and it will be upgraded to run 12 of the city busses by the end of 2016.

Deep Groundwater from Kurikka: Vasa has for long relied on surface water from Kyrönjoki River. In 2012 we started searching for groundwater sources in a nearby municipality and came across deep groundwater in an ancient riverbed. By 2025 we plan to bring this water to Vasa and save in both purifying costs and energy.
